Govt. Girls Polytechnic Raipur, established in 1987 under the World Bank Scheme, evolved from the former Govt. Technical High School to promote women's technical skills. Located about 4 km from Raipur Railway Station and 12 km from Mana Airport, it gained significance after Raipur became the capital of Chhattisgarh in 2000. The institution began with a Diploma in Commercial Practice in 1989, followed by a Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering in 1990. Currently, it offers 7 AICTE and 1 PCI approved diploma courses namely Diploma in Computer Science Engineering, Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Diploma in Information and Technology, Diploma in Architecture, Diploma in Interior Design And Decoration, Diploma in Modern Office Management, Diploma in Costume Design & Dress Making, Diploma in Pharmacy which are affiliated with Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai.

Girl’s Polytechnic, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India which stands for excellence and continuously sets highest standards in terms of imparting Technical education to the Girl’s of Chhattisgarh state. On behalf of the entire, Govt. Girl’s Polytechnic, Raipur (CG) family, I am pleased to introduce the institution on the web. Within these electronic pages, we have tried our best to host the vital information needed from time to time. Govt. Girl’s Polytechnic is affiliated to Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda University, Bhilai and is approved by All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi. At present there are seven regular Diploma courses ongoing in the institute. A special cell has been constituted under the scheme for Persons with Disability by MHRD, New Delhi to reinforce self dependency among the Handicap youths. Within this scheme admissions are being done both in regular Diploma courses as well as various employment oriented certificate courses. The institution excels in facilities like large building, wide-spread Residential campus, Auditorium, well equipped Laboratories of modern technology, a Rich library, Hostel, Gymnasium, Sports facilities and enthusiastic Faculty and dedicated Staff to serve for the very purpose of education. The students are well disciplined and bring glory to our institution in academics, extra & co- curricular activities and sports. Our main concern is ensuring that the personal development of the student takes place in an educational environment and the vision is based on hard work, open communication with a strong emphasis on team work and a high level responsibility. We shall try our best for placement of students in good organizations. . This visionary culture allows and emphasizes our wards not only to adopt the present day challenges but also individual responsibilities to the society and our nation at large. I, along with our team of silent workers, well qualified and dedicated faculty, intend to build on this strong foundation and raise the standards in all spheres, to the zenith.
